Transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure used to obtain tissue samples from the lungs and surrounding lymph nodes for the evaluation of pulmonary diseases. It is particularly valuable in diagnosing and staging lung cancer, as well as in assessing other conditions like sarcoidosis and tuberculosis.
