Platyhelminthes, commonly known as flatworms, are a phylum of relatively simple bilaterian, unsegmented, Soft-bodied invertebrates. They are characterized by their Flattened bodies, which facilitate Gas Exchange and Nutrient Distribution in the absence of a Circulatory System, and include both Free-living species and Parasitic forms such as tapeworms and flukes.
