An isovolumetric process, also known as an isochoric process, is a thermodynamic process in which the volume of the system remains constant, meaning no work is done by or on the system. This results in changes in pressure and temperature, which are directly related through the ideal gas law, and any heat added or removed from the system changes its internal energy only.
