Inertial Confinement Fusion 0
Inertial confinement fusion (ICF) is a technique aimed at achieving nuclear fusion by compressing and heating small fuel pellets using powerful laser or ion beams, creating conditions similar to those in the sun's core. The ultimate goal of ICF is to produce a self-sustaining fusion reaction that can serve as a nearly limitless and clean energy source, but significant technical challenges remain before it can be realized on a commercial scale.
