Hemolytic Disease Of The Fetus And Newborn 0
Hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN) is a condition where the immune system of an Rh-negative mother produces antibodies that attack the red blood cells of an Rh-positive fetus, leading to anemia and other complications. It is preventable through the administration of Rh immunoglobulin to the mother during and after pregnancy to prevent antibody formation.
