Boundary Scan Test, often implemented as part of the IEEE 1149.1 standard, is a Testing methodology used for testing the Interconnections on printed circuit boards or Sub-blocks inside an integrated circuit without needing Physical test probes. It allows for Efficient diagnosis and troubleshooting of Complex circuit designs by enabling easy access to the Internal components' test signals through a Shift-register chain, often referred to as a Scan Path.
