Biomass combustion is the process of burning organic materials, such as wood, agricultural residues, and other plant-based materials, to produce energy. This process is considered renewable and carbon-neutral when the biomass is sustainably sourced, as the carbon dioxide released during combustion is offset by the carbon dioxide absorbed during the growth of the biomass.
