The arcsecant, denoted as arcsec or sec⁻¹, is the inverse function of the secant function, which is the reciprocal of the cosine function. It returns the angle whose secant is a given number, typically defined for values greater than or equal to 1 or less than or equal to -1, corresponding to angles in the range [0, π/2) ∪ (π/2, π].
