Abrikosov Lattice
Summary
An
Abrikosov lattice
is a
regular array
of vortices formed in a
type-II superconductor
when it is placed in a
magnetic field
that penetrates the material. These vortices contain
quantized units of magnetic flux
and allow the superconductor to exhibit
superconducting properties
while partially allowing the
magnetic field
to pass through.
