The Whipple Procedure, or pancreaticoduodenectomy, is a complex surgical operation primarily used to treat pancreatic cancer located in the head of the pancreas. It involves the removal of the head of the pancreas, a portion of the bile duct, the gallbladder, and part of the stomach, followed by reconstruction to allow digestive tract continuity.
