Symphonic form is a large-scale musical structure typically consisting of multiple movements, each with its own tempo and character, which collectively create a cohesive narrative or emotional journey. Originating in the Classical period, symphonic form often adheres to conventions such as sonata-allegro, theme and variations, minuet and trio, and rondo forms, allowing composers to explore and develop thematic material extensively.
