SIRS Criteria, or Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, is a clinical response arising from a nonspecific insult, including infection, trauma, or other inflammatory conditions. It is characterized by two or more of the following: abnormal body temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, or white blood cell count, and is used to identify patients at risk for sepsis.
