Social dominance orientation (SDO) is a personality trait that predicts social and political attitudes, reflecting the degree to which an individual supports group-based hierarchies and dominance over lower-status groups. Individuals with high SDO tend to endorse policies and ideologies that maintain social inequality, whereas those with low SDO favor egalitarianism and social justice.
