The palpebral conjunctiva is the thin, transparent membrane that lines the inside of the eyelids and is continuous with the bulbar conjunctiva, playing a crucial role in maintaining eye health by providing a barrier against pathogens and facilitating smooth eyelid movement. It is richly supplied with blood vessels and nerves, contributing to tear film stability and ocular surface protection.
