The p-value threshold is a predetermined significance level, often set at 0.05, against which the p-value is compared to determine the statistical significance of a test result. It helps in deciding whether to reject the null hypothesis, but reliance on arbitrary thresholds has been criticized for oversimplifying complex data analyses.
