Mixed-design ANOVA, also known as split-plot ANOVA, is a statistical test used to analyze data that includes both between-subjects and within-subjects factors. It is particularly useful for experiments where some factors are manipulated between different groups and others within the same group, allowing for the examination of interaction effects across these dimensions.
