Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinases, or MAPKs, are like tiny messengers in our cells that help them talk to each other and decide what to do, like grow or fix themselves. When something happens outside the cell, MAPKs help the cell know how to respond, like when you hear a fire alarm and know to go outside quickly.
