Light trapping is a technique used in solar cells and optical devices to increase the amount of light absorbed by trapping it within the material, thereby enhancing efficiency. This is achieved through the use of nanostructures or textured surfaces that cause light to bounce around inside the material, increasing the path length and the chance of absorption.
