Concept
Lensing, in the context of physics and astronomy, refers to the bending of light rays as they pass through a gravitational field, resulting in phenomena such as magnification, distortion, and multiple images of distant objects. This effect, known as gravitational lensing, provides a powerful tool for studying dark matter, the large-scale structure of the universe, and the properties of distant galaxies and quasars.
