Laser amplification is a process that increases the power of a laser beam by stimulating the emission of additional photons within an amplifying medium. This is achieved through a mechanism called stimulated emission, where incoming photons induce the emission of more photons with the same phase, frequency, and direction, resulting in an intensified laser output.
