Concept
Interossei Muscles 0
The interossei muscles are a group of intrinsic muscles located between the metacarpals in the hand and the metatarsals in the foot, playing a crucial role in the fine motor movements of the digits. They are divided into dorsal and palmar (or plantar) groups, with the dorsal interossei primarily responsible for abduction and the palmar/plantar interossei for adduction of the fingers and toes, respectively.
