The inflammatory phase is the initial response of the body to tissue injury, characterized by redness, heat, swelling, and pain as immune cells rush to the site to prevent infection and begin the healing process. This phase sets the stage for subsequent tissue repair and regeneration by clearing debris and releasing signaling molecules that attract further healing components.
