Hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) is a statistical technique used to analyze data that is structured at more than one level, such as students within schools or patients within hospitals. It accounts for the nested nature of the data, allowing for more accurate estimates of relationships by considering both individual and group-level variations simultaneously.
