Gödel's Theorem, formally known as Gödel's Incompleteness Theorems, fundamentally changed our understanding of mathematics by demonstrating that in any sufficiently powerful axiomatic system, there are propositions that cannot be proven or disproven within the system's own rules. This implies that no single mathematical system can encompass all truths or provide a complete foundation for mathematics.
