The Early Effect is a phenomenon in bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) where an increase in the collector-base voltage causes a decrease in the width of the base, leading to an increase in the collector current. This effect results in a finite output impedance and impacts the transistor's amplification characteristics, affecting linearity and gain in amplifier circuits.
