DDR (Double Data Rate) is a type of memory technology used in computers and other digital devices that allows data to be transferred twice per clock cycle, effectively doubling the data throughput compared to its predecessor, SDR (Single Data Rate). This technology is integral to improving the performance of systems by increasing memory bandwidth without increasing the clock frequency.
