Council Of Constance 0
The Council of Constance, held from 1414 to 1418, was a significant ecumenical council of the Catholic Church aimed at resolving the Western Schism, which had divided Christianity with multiple claimants to the papacy. It successfully ended the schism by deposing or accepting the resignation of the rival popes and electing Pope Martin V, while also addressing church reform and condemning heresies, notably that of Jan Hus.
