Colonial discourse refers to the body of narratives, representations, and language used by colonial powers to justify and maintain their dominance over colonized regions and peoples. It encompasses the ways in which cultural, social, and political structures are framed to perpetuate the ideology of colonialism, often portraying the colonized as inferior and in need of control or 'civilization'.
