Concept
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers 0
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs) are a class of medications primarily used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels, thereby relaxing them and lowering blood pressure. They are often prescribed when patients cannot tolerate ACE inhibitors, another class of blood pressure medications, due to side effects.
